Kitchen and Menu
Nutritional meals are served by our fully qualified chef in our specially designed commercial kitchen. Our Daily Menus provide a select and diverse range of Foods. All of our meals are served in our purpose built dining room where the children can eat together. We regard mealtimes as an opportunity for social interaction and our staff are on hand to make mealtime a fun time.
All of our children’s parties (Birthdays, Xmas, etc.,) are held here in the Dining Room. All of our diverse menu ranges are displayed on a weekly basis.
In the event that your child may have special dietary requirements, these too, will be catered for by our chef.

Early Childhood Education
The Principles of the Childrens Village Nursery School are to provide your Child with the best possible start in their young life. The Management and Staff are committed to providing a safe and happy environment, where your Child can learn, grow and prosper.
TUSLA
We work very closely with TUSLA to ensure that we can deliver a high quality Childcare Service to the Children in our care and their Parents.
AISTEAR
Aistear is the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA), the Curriculum Framework for all Children under the age of 6 Years.
In The Children's Village, we plan and organise all our Classes and Activities in accordance with NCCA Best Practices and Principals.
SIOLTA
Siolta, defines, assesses and supports the improvement of Quality Practice in the Early Childhood Settings where Children under the age of 6 Years are present.
The Children's Village always strive to meet the highest Standards and Best Practice for the Children in our care.
ECCE PRE-SCHOOL SCHEME
The Early Childhood Care and Education Programme (ECCE) programme is a universal two-year pre-school programme available to all children within the eligible age range. It provides children with their first formal experience of early learning prior to commencing primary school. The programme is provided for three hours per day, five days per week over 38 weeks per year and the programme year runs from September to June each year.
There is one point of entry at the beginning of the programme year. The programme will be available to all children who have turned 2 years and 8 months of age before August 31st as long they won’t turn 5 years and 6 months of age on or before June 30th of the programme year.
THE NATIONAL CHILDCARE SCHEME
All parents who wish to avail of the National Childcare Scheme (NCS), should apply online (Google: NCS.GOV.IE). This will lead you to an online process which will detail a subsidy award for your child to offset against Childcare Fees. Services Available
Sessional: A pre-school service offering a planned programme to pre-school children for a total of not more than 3.5 hours per session.
For example: 9 a.m – 12.00 p.m /1 p.m – 4 p.m
Part-Time: Offering a structured day care service for pre-school children for a total of not more than 3.5 hours and less than 5 hours per day and which may include a sessional pre-school service.
For example: 8am – 1 p.m or 9 a.m – 2 p.m
Full-Day Care: Offering a structured day care service for pre-school children for more than 5 hours per day, includes a sessional pre-school service.
For example: 7.30 a.m – 6.15 p.m
Also offering full-day care during school holidays.
For example: 7.30 a.m – 6.15 p.m
Breakfast Club: Offering early drop of service and providing children with nutritious meal.
For example: 7.30 a.m – 9 a.m
Afterschool Care: School age childcare outside of school hours to children in school and under the age of 15.
For example: 1 p.m – 6.15 p.m
Our Facilities
The Children's Village is specially designed to ensure the safety and security of our children at all times, during their stay with us. We have a 7000 square feet playground area with a best practice safety surface that is readily accessible and allows our staff to monitor and supervise children's play at all times. We cater for all play needs with all of the latest models in play equipment.
The Children's Village also encompass a large variety of different learning rooms specially designed to meet the educational needs of different age groups - Busy Bees, Sticky Fingers, Happy Hearts & Handprints. Bright Sparks, Jigsaw & Treasure Island will cater for all of our Pre-School and After School Children.
For our very young Children, we have Little Folks & Sunflowers.
The Children's Village has a large kitchen and our chef serves nutritional meals to accommodate all age groups. The Children's Village has a close circuit security camera system in operation twenty four hours a day to ensure the safety and security of the facility at all times.
The Children's Village provides an environment that reflects the cultural diversity of the local area and allows children the freedom to develop and form solid relationship based on trust and mutual agreement. Such an environment is important to the child's development in an educational sense but also in providing the child with the necessary life skills that they may carry on into further education at primary school level.
